Aquaponics: Education & Design

ACRES Aquaponics
This is one of my favorite projects I've done for The ACRES Project because of the educational and sustainability angle. Aquaponics is a sustainable form of indoor agriculture where fish and plants sustain each other in a closed-loop system. I designed the logo, educational materials, and graphics for every aspect of The ACRES Project's aquaponics program, from the initial pitch presentation to product packaging.
Educational Materials
ACRES wanted their newly-constructed aquaponics system to be an educational resource for the community, so I created large-format educational posters explaining how the system works. Instructional posters were also needed to remind staff how to perform certain tasks, such as cleaning the clarifier or assessing the health of the fish. All graphics and diagrams were designed by me, with the exception of the base diagram on the "What is Aquaponics?" poster. I was responsible for all of the text on these.
Packaging and Point-of-Sale
An important part of this project is the production and sale of fresh produce. I designed the product labels and info cards for our microgreens and mint.
